About Us
It all started in 1978 when Amber joined the Temple of the Pagan Way in Chicago and received her initiations and ordination there. She has worked with Circle, New Earth Circle, and The Pool of Bast. She and Catelaine founded the Coven of Our Lady of the Woods in Wisconsin, and the Ladywood Tradition of Wicca. When Amber moved to New Mexico, she reorganized the coven there. It has not only survived, but thrived for over 30 years, and is still going strong. Both Amber and Azrael have served as High Priestess of the coven, and Azrael has, when needed, served as High Priest. Amber and Azrael are third degree priestesses in the Ladywood Tradition of the Craft.
Amber has served as National First Officer (three times) and National Publications Officer of the Covenant of the Goddess (COG), the world’s largest network of Witches. She has also worked with the Re-formed Congregation of the Goddess’ Cella priestess training program, and “Of A Like Mind” women’s spirituality network.
In her mundane life, Amber spent over 30 years as a training specialist, teaching group process, group dynamics, leadership, and conflict resolution.
She has a son, Starfire, who has attended every Pagan Spirit Gathering!
Azrael Arynn K has served as Second Officer of COG (twice), as well as First Officer of the Chamisa Local Council of COG. She brings to the Craft her experience as a technical editor and architectural designer, as well as having a degree in law. She is a talented costume designer, ritualist, teacher, and editor.

Azrael, fuzzy but happy!

We have traveled widely throughout the United States teaching the Craft, and have been guest speakers at many Pagan festivals including PantheaCon, Heartland, United Earth Assembly, Pagan Spirit Gathering, Dragonfest, Florida Samhain Pagan Gathering, Magickal Mountain Mabon, Starwood, Michigan Pagan Festival, Beltane Southwest, Beltania, …
Our home is Ardantane Pagan Learning Center in northern New Mexico, an hour northwest of Albuquerque in the Red Rocks area of the Jemez Mountains. Amber serves as Executive Director, and Azrael is Dean of the School of Sacred Living.

Amber enjoys hiking, photography, art, especially calligraphy, rocks and minerals, science fiction, collecting ancient keys, and the Peanuts gang—especially Snoopy. Azrael likes to read mysteries, shop for antiques, drive good cars, and study nutrition and healing. They share interests in travel, pink transferware china, Chinese checkers, art, and all things magickal, especially the technology of the sacred—how magick works.
Amber says, “We are at a pivotal point in human history; with wisdom, love, and power, we can influence the course of humanity and its relationship with the Earth. Let us begin a great ingathering of our people, to join our strengths in service to the Lady and the Lord, and make the Craft a force on this planet.”
